"I was getting boxes from Target that had stale and rock hard cookies. I had to return three of them and one back to Vons. Idk if anyone else had this issue. I actually thought at first that maybe they were supposed to be hard, then I bought a pack with mixed hard and soft. I called their corporation to let them know what’s been happening and they sent me free cookies and they were all fresh. Thank you so much for being so kind in doing that! What is the recommended age for pantry snacks?
Our Fruit & Veggie Puffs are intended for ages 10+ months. Babies should be able to crawl with the tummy off the ground, pick up food with the thumb and forefinger (pincer grasp), and be able to use their jaw to “chew” food between their gums.
Our Coconut Melts, Smoothie Melts, Tractor Wheels, and Smart Wheels are intended for ages 12+ months. Babies and toddlers should be able to do all of the above, plus stand up without support.
To enjoy Tractor Wheels and Smart Wheels, toddlers should also have their back teeth to help them chew.
Our Soft-Baked Bars and Power Wheels are larger and heartier. They are each intended for kids ages 4+ years.
Ultimately, with all of our snacks, it is up to you and your pediatrician to determine what is the best food to feed your child and when.

They are fast-dissolving for easy self-feeding practice, and they can be enjoyed even if your infant doesn’t have teeth yet. Bonus: the perfectly sized star-shaped pieces make them easy to pick up, helping little ones work on their pincer grasp.

Both types of melts have a soft, slightly crunchy, freeze-dried texture that softens and melts easily on the tongue. Babies can also use their jaw to “chew” this product—even if they don’t have teeth yet.

Our organic toddler soft-baked bars are soft, dense, and chewy. They’re moist enough to hold their fun shape and break apart easily, instead of turning into a crumbly mess. While the bars are gentle on little gums, toddlers should enjoy Tractor Wheels and Smart Wheels once they have back teeth to help them chew.
Are pantry snacks shelf-stable, and what is the typical shelf life from production?
The shelf life on our pantry snacks is 10 months from the date they are made. When shipping online, our pantry snack shipments have a minimum 45-day expiration date.

Fruit & Veggie Puffs are best enjoyed within 5 days of opening, Coconut Melts and Smoothie Melts are best enjoyed within 7 days of opening, and our individually wrapped toddler and kids’ soft-baked bars are best enjoyed the same day.
